  2.              International AutoCAD/CAD Conference

  5. o The main topic of this echo conference is AutoCAD(tm) and the use of
  6.   it, add on products like third party or shareware software, required
  7.   hardware, utilities, tips, tricks and programming of any facet of
  8.   ACAD. Other CAD or PC CAD is also open for discussion.
  9.  
  10. o Advertisements of products or services by vendors of any type or
  11.   personal ads to sell software or hardware are NOT welcome.
  12.  
  13. o File listings are highly frowned upon but new file announcements that
  14.   would benefit "the topic" will be permitted, within reason.
  15.  
  16. o Product or Service announcements fall under advertisements and are
  17.   not allowed. The one, and only one exception will be official
  18.   "Update" announcements from Autodesk about AutoCAD(tm).
  19.  
  20. o Foul or harsh language is not tolerable and will not be accepted. If
  21.   you don't like what someone has to say for personal reasons, send
  22.   them a reply using netmail - not echomail.
  23.  
  24. o Some echoes allow aliases, but I tend not to want them. I think most
  25.   of the professionals here want to KNOW who they are dealing with. I
  26.   prefer full names used in the echo.
  27.  
  28. o This conference is not bound by FidoNet, it's open to any network and
  29.   system that wish to carry the conference. Messages in this conference
  30.   should confirm with the FTSC (FidoNet Technical Standards Committee)
  31.   format and must contain a tear and origin line. The tear line may not
  32.   be longer than 35 characters including the --- characters. The origin
  33.   line must fit on one 80 character wide CRT including the " # Origin:"
  34.   text.

  36. o Eight-bit ASCII is not allowed in this conference. All characters in
  37.   displayed message data (text/header) must be in the range 32 to 126,
  38.   which rules out control characters. Control character can be shown as
  39.   ^@ through ^_ for 0 to 31 or any character can be noted as <ascii
  40.   xxx>.
  41.  
  42. o Offline readers abound and offer system callers an excellent way of
  43.   reading and replying to messages. These readers need to be configured
  44.   to compile with the rule (above) on 8 bit ASCII characters. Make sure
  45.   that your reader is configured to compile with FidoNet's standards
  46.   (in all respects).

  48. o First rule of any echo is leave the moderating to the moderator. I am
  49.   the moderator, if you have a problem with someone, tell me about it,
  50.   don't post flames, etc. in the conference. I will take whatever
  51.   appropriate action I see fit.

  53. o Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.
  54.  
  55.   Last Rule: Don't be annoying nor be easily annoyed.
